Gentle Boys

  • Gentle Boys Club is a space and soirée where stereotypical gender roles are playfully subverted. Come in drag or dress up and join an anti-patriarchal slow dance workshop, watch a drag show, and learn more about the history of drag kings and their connection to lesbian histories. Gentle boys take it slow.

Gentle Boys Club is a fluid concept, with different drag acts, dance-workshops, activities or exhibitions.

with: Lisa Vereertbrugghen, Debutante K.I.N.G., Cowboy Juicy, Advocate’s Devil and more.

  • “Bebe Books continues its annual tradition with the release of the 2025 calendar. This year, we’ve joined forces with Melissa Mabesoone, who brought together an inspiring group of drag kings and drag queers from Belgium and the Netherlands to create something truly special.

This calendar is more than just dates—it’s a piece of living history, blending past, present, and future in celebration of drag culture. Featuring photography by Tom Berge and graphic design by Cloé Barbier, this edition is a visual treat you won’t want to miss.”

With Pistache, Debutante K.I.N.G., Mama Tituba, Vinny von Vinci, Freeda Hole, Ernesto Coyote, Raoul Les Mécaniques, Dante Chaos, Cowboy Juicy, Enby Valent, Brad Titt, Chéri.e Chapstick.

Proudly supported by Kaaitheater, De Brakke Grond, and NW Aalst.

“For she had a great variety of selves to call upon, far more than we have been able to find room for, since a biography is considered complete if it merely accounts for six or seven selves, whereas a person may have many thousand…and these selves of which we are built up, one on top of the other, as plates are piled on a waiter’s hand, have attachments elsewhere, sympathies, little constitutions and rights of their own… so that one will only come if it is raining, another in a room with green curtains, another when Mrs. Jones is not there… and some are too wildly ridiculous to be mentioned in print at all.”

- Virginia Woolf, Orlando
